Down Meralane: Carmen

"The story is about a young girl, Lillia, who is kicked out of her one room house after her mother dies and ends up in a thief/scamming gang. They all live in a house on Meralane, above the pawn shop that they run.

Carmen, who was the only girl before Lillia, is the only person in the house who has nice things, because she tricks and seduces rich men and needs to hold up a "young lady"-image. Nice things they can't place in the shop, are stored in her room.

The gang's leader wants Lillia to learn all of Carmen's tricks. Lillia would much rather sneak around and rob houses at night with all the other boys."
